This picture made me want to shoot fashion.
Today, for some reason out of the blue, I recalled how inspired I was years ago by Paolo Roversi’s picture of Laeticia Casta for Alberta Ferretti’s Fall/Winter 2003 line. It is one of few images that literally influenced me to pursue fashion photography. I – even after becoming horrendously bitter – still think this picture is nearing perfect.

Yes, beautiful – but is it the woman that is perfect?
Put some ordinary joe in that exact same light and pose and it may not be quite so – but thats all part of it isnt it -subject choice is key. Great shot!
The lighting in this is beautiful (as is the model), its a very skillfully executed piece of work. I think Roversi used continuous light rather than flash.
